Going Home...

I am sitting at the San Jose, Costa Rica Airport (fortunatley they have free wi-fi here because my flight was put back three hours without notification). My flight home is now an hour away. I'm looking forward to seeing my family and friends and I'm actually also looking forward to working.

There are many things I will miss, some are: sunsets every night, speaking spanish every day, living within a four kilometer radius for most of the time where there isn't any traffic and only one long road, my friends here most notably Ben, Jeleelay, Brett, Alberto, Hazel, Shawna and Jason and their brilliant daughter Chandra, the dog Skippy, Tomas, Aja and Tess. I will also miss falling asleep and waking up to loud crashing waves, sand on my feet, the salt water air, rice and beans, mojitos, not having a cell phone, using colones (the currency here) being unreachable most of the time and swapping travel stories with people from all over. And much more.

I will have more time to reflect about what this experience has done for me in the coming weeks as well as how I might have changed. I can certainly attest to the fact that I would do it all again in a heartbeat and wouldn't change it in the least. Everything I might have hoped to experience I have. Thanks for all the support, I have a chance to upload some pics finally...I'll put more up with stories soon.
