Many months away

Now that I have made the hard and fast decision to move to Costa Rica the actual grind of the planning and saving is setting in. My January departure seems a little optimistic as I need to save $6000 and pay off $3000 in credit card debt (did I really need to invest in brand new snowboard gear and a season pass last fall? the season sucked so bad I went a total of six times, at least I looked really good while I was there right?)
So working at my day jobs pays my bills and theoretically working at the restaurant is my CR money. The amount of tables and people I will have to wait on to earn the $9000 that I need between now and January is a little daunting to think of all at once. Of course I have seven months to deliver $9000 worth of salmon, filet mignon and cosmopolitans. To earn $9000 I have to sell approximately $60,000 worth of food and drink. This is assuming everyone tips me at least 18% ( I have to tip out of course in turn.) It is do-able but my back and feet cringe just thinking about it.
I will probably end up leaving in February or March in order to do it right, but in my head I'm going to stick to the January schedule since january is my birthday and seems like a good goal. BTW is anyone stumbles accross Costa Rica blogs, please forward them to me. I have managed to find a few good ones but none from people actually living there. Back to my desk full of paper now, dreaming of sandy beaches and quiet conversation over chilean wine...
